Hi there, I am Daniela! I am an Engineer, and artist. I have 2 small dogs Juanita and Serafin. 5 yrs ago I was determined to paint Juanita. I remember spending hours just trying to capture every detail of Juanita’s eyes. I felt like there was so much life by just looking at them. Little I knew she would become blind. Juanita lost her 2 eyes last year due to age and that portrait became like a treasure for me. I feel it was my way of honoring her, and all the unconditional love she has bring into my life.

I haven’t met most of the pets I paint. Most of them have already passed or are in different cities. It is amazing how a photo can reveal how many different personalities dogs and cats can have and how unique every one of them is. I not only paint pets, but I also paint stories, personalities, and essences.
